AFReLA’s Presentation at IEEE-ICTMOD in Rabat: A look into Morocco’s Fintech

AFReLA is excited to share insights at the upcoming IEEE-ICTMOD in Rabat, an event planned by INPT and ABS Business School. The talk will focus on a Delphi study recently conducted, which investigated Morocco’s fintech sector.

The study brought together 46 experts from across Morocco’s fintech field, including academia and industry leaders, to evaluate a broad set of challenges and potential actions — initially 210 challenges and 235 actions in total. Through a structured approach, these experts whittled down the list to 35 key challenges and 37 strategic actions. They then ranked these according to what they saw as most critical for the fintech sector’s progress in Morocco.

The upcoming presentation by AFReLA will delve into the study’s findings, shedding light on essential steps for Morocco’s fintech growth. It will discuss the need for more adaptive regulations, stronger collaborations between banks and fintech startups, and the push to make financial services more accessible. This session will be an opportunity for AFReLA to present a strategic direction for stakeholders involved in Morocco’s fintech landscape, based on expert analysis and research.
